Die Goldmedaille des Erzherzogs Karl von Österreich, ursprünglich für das Kunsthistorische Museum Wien und später für das Kunstmuseum Linz vorgesehen (BDA-Archiv, Restitutionsmaterialien, K. 51, M4; K. 13, M002), gelangte schließlich an das Kunstgewerbemuseum in Graz (heute Kulturhistorische Sammlung am Universalmuseum Joanneum).
Die Rückstellung der Goldmedaille wurde Clarisse Rothschild, der Erbin nach Alphonse Rothschild, mit 31.12.1947 zuerkannt (vgl. BDA-Archiv, Restitutionmaterialien, K. 53, M4, Zl. 7991/47), das Objekt verblieb aber infolge einer Ausfuhrwidmung im Museum.
Die Restitution erfolgte am 31.3.2000 (Karin Leitner-Ruhe, Gudrun Danzer, Monika Binder-Krieglstein (Hg.), Landesmuseum Joanneum Restitutionsbericht 1999–2000).
