The website was created in a research collaboration between the Commission for Provenance Research and the Archive of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. The concept was designed by Lisa Frank (Commission for Provenance Research), Susanne Hehenberger (KHM Archive), Peter Kloser (KHM database) and Leonhard Weidinger (Commission for Provenance Research). The project was financed by both institutions, which are also both responsible for ongoing management.
