Die Posaune wurde 1947 im Zuge eines Ausfuhrverfahrens als Widmung für die Sammlung alter Musikinstrumente erworben und unter der Nummer SAM 599 inventarisiert (BDA-Archiv, Restitutionsmaterialien, K. 53, M. 4, Zl 4463/47, fol. 36).
1999 erfolgte die Restitution.
