Die Wigand-Kassette wurde im Juli 1999 aus dem Historischen Museum der Stadt Wien restituiert (Historisches Museum der Stadt Wien/Wiener Stadt- und Landesbibliothek (Hg.), Die Restitution von Kunst- und Kulturgegenständen im Bereich der Stadt Wien 1998–2001. Wien 2002, S. 18).
